The holiday season is in full swing, so you know what that means? Time for gifts! I’ve put together a list of my favorites right now, specifically for the ladies. Hope you like!
My favorite handbag designer Rebecca Minkoff has teamed up with Baby G to create this gorgeous, limited edition watch! It combines femininity and function, showcasing a black ion plated steel band with rose face that is completely waterproof. The watch retails for $200 and will be available at fine jewelry stores, along with shopcasio.com.
Who doesn’t love a Cole Haan shoe? The Stephanie is a great style across all realms (pump, heeled oxford, etc) but specifically in this chukka style. Made with Nike Air technology, the Stephanie Air Chukka is a great bootie style that can make the smooth transition from day to night. Retails for $278 (on sale at some locations) and available at Cole Haan retailers and colehaan.com.
It’s pretty obvious by now that I have a slight obsession with Rebecca Minkoff handbags as seen here and here. My most recent purchase is the beauty above, the Flirty in black. I acquired the Flirty in the much hyped Rebecca Minkoff Black Friday sale online. Being the fiend that I am, I was patiently waiting at my computer fifteen minutes prior to the start of the sale at midnight. Given the fact that Rebecca Minkoff has such devoted Minkettes, the site definitely crashed. Eager as I was, I refreshed numerous times, and the gates were opened, hooray!
Since I already had a MAB and MAC in my possession, I was looking specifically for a black leather handbag, preferably with gold hardware, in a smaller size that I could use for nights out. I scoured and scoured, and finally came across the coveted Flirty; it was perfect! Supple black quilted leather, a gold chain strap with gold stud detail, and a tassel for good measure. I don’t think I’ve ever hit “Add to cart” that fast in my life; I didn’t want it to get in someone else’s hands!
Tuesday evening, I attended the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale VIP night hosted by Purse Forum. I dipped my feet into the Minkette world earlier this year in May when I purchased my first MAB (Morning After Bag). You can revisit that story here. My purpose of this excursion? Finding the perfect MAC (Morning After Clutch). The MAC is another Rebecca Minkoff classic; a clutch roomy enough for the transition from day, to night, to late night. It features a chain link strap and singular buckle closure in the front.
I chose the MAC you see above, which is marked as dark red, but in real life, looks more like a deep cognac shade. It is made of a great quality, slightly shinier leather that is meant to gain character over time. I love the color, as it is a neutral in a way, yet amplified. I can’t wait to pair it with my favorite outfits!
The time has come again for the Rebecca MinkoffNYC sample sale; hooray! All Minkettes unite and get your cash ready, this sale will be sure not to disappoint. I attended last season’s sale and felt like a kid in a candy store. It was literally the most amazing leather handbags I had seen in one place in my LIFE. There I picked up my MAB satchel in almond that I wear with everything; so versatile! All info is above. Tell a friend to tell a friend, it will be amazing! And of course, be sure to follow the lovely @RebeccaMinkoff on Twitter for all updates. 🙂
Can you see my excitement? In the wee hours of this morning, I posted Bag Love: Rebecca Minkoff “M.A.B.” Satchel. As per usual, I @ replied Rebecca Minkoff as I do for each post. A few hours ago I checked my Twitter (@andreakcastillo), and was greeted by this:
While wandering the streets on Friday evening, I stumbled across the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale. I thought to myself, “How wonderful!” and took a step inside. I have NEVER seen so many bags in my life in one place, EVER. It was like being a kid in a candy store. I almost thought it was a joke that they had so much inventory in impeccable condition. I searched the overflowing tables for a good twenty minutes and decided on the M.A.B (Morning After Bag) satchel in almond. It is an overnighter size bag in supple leather with sturdy handles and an additional adjustable strap. I fell in love with this bag, given its simplicity, color, and craftmanship. I was torn between this and the Circle quilt M.A.B mini, in a beautiful persimmon color, but I believe I went with the more versatile choice. The bag retails for $525, and received a triple digit discount through the sale. I believe this is a great investment piece that will last me for years to come. More photos below.
Be sure to check out Rebecca Minkoff’s blog, Minkette, when you have a chance. Good reads and inspiration!
