Event: Live At Lyons Wier, “The B-613 Mix” w/ DJ Olivia Dope, June 19th at Lyons Wier Gallery

For this week’s installment of Live At Lyons Wier, we’ve got a special treat! My homegirl DJ Olivia Dope will be spinning 90’s jams for “The B-613 Mix” (Scandal reference anyone?). Along with jammy jams from Miss Dope, there will be a live soul/r&b performance by Mattie Safer.

The evening also hosts the opening of the “Voyeur” group exhibition, curated by Dina Brodsky. The event takes place Thursday, June 19th from 6-9 PM. Not to be missed!

Event: Live At Lyons Wier, “The Slique Mix” w/ DJ Lighthouse, June 12th at Lyons Wier Gallery

Music and art are two of my greatest loves, and it tickles my heart when they join together. In the past year I have been fortunate to work with the folks at Lyons Wier Gallery, Lyons Wier Music, and Audiophile PLUS to join these elements, one of our largest so far being the music programming for Aqua Art Miami back in December.

All of these parties, with the addition of The Eastmen Collective, have come together to host a weekly soundscape on Thursday evening at the gallery entitled, “Live At Lyons Wier”. Launched last week, the event hosts a new DJ each week with a unique sound, to be the backdrop of the evening, where people mingle, take in art, and even shake a tail-feather if they feel like it!

If you are in NYC this evening, I strongly suggest you come by and jam with us and DJ Light House from 7-10 PM. All info on the flyer above. Check out the re-cap video below of last week’s event.
