A GLIMPSE OF THE MEN’S COLLECTION + COMPILATION
On the evening of Thursday, February 19th, the folks at French fashion & music label Maison Kitsuné launched their Spring/Summer ’15 #EFFORTLESSFRENCH collection in-store at their NoMAD location on the corner of Broadway and 28th Street. Having attended the presentation back at The Standard in September, I was quite excited to see what the full collection would look like on hangers.
Upon entering the store with two of my girlfriends, I was greeted by a room full of impeccably-dressed, beautiful people.
The women’s collection was the first bit of apparel I was able to scan, containing a pallet of white, black, bubblegum pink, salmon, and navy. I had really enjoyed the lightheartedness of the collection when I saw the presentation, and I was quite happy to see that it translated well to retail.
A GLIMPSE OF THE WOMEN’S COLLECTION
We walked further back to the cash-wrap section of the store where a bar was set up serving Rekorderlig Cider & Perrier Jouet champagne. I’m usually super fancy and always go for the champagne, but I decided to go with the cider as the brand is one of my new favorites.
A GUEST GRABBING A DRINK AT THE BAR
After receiving beverages, we started to loop left and saw a handsome fellow holding a tray in front of him. “Snacks?”, I thought. We waved him over and discovered that he was serving sweet crepes in a little #EFFORTLESSFRENCH jacket; branding ON-POINT! The crepes were delicious. Pretty sure I had at least three during the event.
Continuing to walk to the left of the store’s interior, we were able to find a space where we could put our things down, munch on our crepes, and enjoy the music. Tunes of the evening were provided by Chrome Sparks, who was spinning selections from Kitsuné’s New Faces II Compilation, which also was on sale in-store that evening.
JAMS BY CHROME SPARKS
Shimmies and smiles were all around, the vibe was chill, and the style of the collection was effortless, encompassing many updated classic looks that can work for a wide range of customers. I really enjoyed this launch, and am looking to add a few key pieces to my wardrobe this spring! 🙂
