This Tuesday I had the pleasure of attending the Yoana Baraschi Spring/Summer 2012 collection preview. Held at the Ink 48 hotel in the 16th floor press lounge, the gorgeous clothing brightened up an otherwise dreary day. Yoana Baraschi is an NYC based designer by way of Romania who appeals to the young Hollywood set with lovely party dresses and sexy, yet tasteful, separates. I was most excited to learn that all garments are made in NYC! This is so rare, and is much appreciated as I believe we need to revamp the garment industry on our soil.
I walked through the entire collection, which was full of vintage prints, exquisite embroidery, detailed beading, and lively colors. The attention to detail was evident in every cut-out, matched print, and perfectly sewn sequin. Product ranged from soft suiting, to cocktail dresses, to caftans, to sequined separates. The line appealed to me as I believe all the pieces were incredibly feminine, yet versatile; something for every occasion. Many thanks to Kelly and Zeba for inviting me out! Check out my photos below. I have entitled all images with the month of their delivery to retail, along with a quick description of the product.
