Remembering Tupac; 15 Years Gone, But Never Forgotten

Today, September 13, 2011, marks the fifteen year anniversary of the death of Tupac Shakur. For an individual who took his last breath at the ripe age of twenty-five, his contributions to the entertainment industry are insurmountable. Multi-platinum albums, starring roles in film, published works of poetry; Tupac was far ahead of his time. Under the stage names 2Pac and Makaveli he captured a public worldwide with his music; music that is still relevant today, and continues to stand the test of time.

I have selected a few of my favorite 2Pac/Makaveli songs from over the years that I believe best exemplify his versatility as an artist. There are songs about the party life, the struggle, encouragement, praise, and sorrow. Take a listen, reminisce, and keep the legacy alive.

I Get Around

Keep Ya Head Up

Dear Mama

To Live And Die In L.A.
